Golden Bonds

My fist public video essay where I explore On Golden Pond. This film carries many themes within it, but through using Todd McGowan’s Psychoanalytic theory on film, I narrowed in on one subject. The bonds of parents and children are difficult to navigate through all ages. On Golden Pond shows how difficult it is to mend that in adulthood.

About Me

I am currently a Senior at Colorado College, studying Film and Media with a minor in Philosophy. When not on set or in the classroom, you can find me on the mountain skiing or hiking, camping in a beautiful place for a few nights, or even in my room watching television. I have been studying film since sophomore year of high school and I am passionate about writing, producing, and cinematography. In the summer of 2023, I was fortunate enough to intern at Ark Media in Brooklyn. I primarily worked post production for the Paramount+ Documentary Series, 72 Seconds in Rittenhouse Square, as well as the development of multiple other projects. In the summer of 2024, I was fortunate yet again. I was able to intern for NPR on the visuals team in Washington DC. I worked on a vast variety of things, including Educational videos, daily shorts, and Tiny Desk concerts. I hope to continue to learn and experience more, honing my skills along the way.
